A LIFESTYLE BLOG ABOUT A GIRL LIVING IN LONDON

The Rinky-dink Scooter Caffé

3 Jul 2012

Have you ever found a little place in London where you walked in and instantly fell in love?

Scooter Caffé is that place.

Situated in Lower Marsh, by the Waterloo tube, this hipster hang-out is found in the most unlikely of places. There isn't even a sign on the door!

The walls are adorned with vintage paper, fairy lights, signs and beat-up vespers.

The wooden boards just yawn 'cool'.

If you're heading here with a date, grab a bottle of wine and head downstairs - it's more intimate and the walls and ceiling are covered in romantic fairy lights.

The little tables are so small you are guaranteed a good game of footsie.

Upstairs is a great place to get a big group of friends and hang out. The bar is always chokka with people (so get there early if you need to secure a seat)

In the day the working freelancers come out in force, so expect to bond with a bespectacled gentleman working in digital over a caffe latte.

Me and Sarah visited for a little housemate date night. Scooter Caffé only sells booze and coffee, so you get to bring your own dinner! (as long as you take it away of course)

We opted for Thai from down the road.

  1. Mini scooter is light weight product of 100 lbs and it needs two 2 volt sealed batteries that can be easily rechargeable.

This looks like a really trendy yet relaxed place to have a coffee. Bry has a place very similar down the road from her in Leeds its called LS6 service can be a bit slow sometimes but its great all odd vintage bits everywhere on the walls clocks radios etc All the china for drinks is odd but some how it works. The food they do was also great

    1. I didn't know that! I miss Stylist - I don't get the tube any more as I walk into work - the one thing that sucks about living 10 mins away from work!
