Yes, I know… I’m late to the MAC party. Hell, I’m not even late – I’m the person who turns up the morning and cleans the mess you’ve all made! (Metaphorically, of course) However I was recently persuaded by a very persuasive MAC salesperson (darn you nice lady in MAC Covent Garden) to give this powder a go, so I wanted to share it with you.
The MAC Studio Fix powder comes in a comfortingly sturdy compact which sits pretty in any makeup bag. I was really impressed with the color match and the pigmentation of this powder – unlike others I’ve tried, I don’t feel it messes with my foundation if I put on a light layer, but you can build it for excellent coverage. It’s a foundation-powder hybrid, so this versatility is very welcome – well done MAC.
You’ll need to hydrate your skin properly before you use it – especially if you suffer from dryness. I wouldn’t particularly recommend it for imperfection-prone skin either for the same reason. I like to wear this alone as a light-weight summer foundation or for down-days when I don’t want to feel caked with makeup.
Have you tried this MAC product? What did you think?
